Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park prominent envents in 2015

Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park has achieved many prominent results in the management of forest protection, science and international cooperation and promotion of heritage values, the followings are:

On February 20th 2015 in Lake Cave resort of Margaret River city which is the state of Western Australia, Sister Caves Agreement was signed by The Augusta Margaret River Tourism Association and Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.
 
 
On April 14th 2015, establishment of the Working Group supporting the Transboundary Cooperation between Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Quang Binh province, Vietnam and Hin Nam No National Protected Area, Khammouane province, Lao PDR; elaborate and implement successfully cooperation mechanism on forest protection with relevant agencies and organizations.
 
 
On April 20th 2015, Management Board of Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park held the opening ceremony of Bortanical Garden eco-tourism and environmental interpretation site.
 
 
On May 13th 2015, En cave and Son Doong cave are to be broadcast live on the “Good Morning American” program of ABC Television (American TV) that it’s not only the golden opportunity for promotion tourism not only for Quang Binh province but also Vietnam all over the world.
 
 
On the 03th of July 2015, at the 39th Section in Bonn, Federal Government of Germany, with the high consensus of the committee members, advisory bodies and World Heritage Center, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park is inscribed as Natural World Heritage Site by UNESCO for the second time under the two new criterion: (1) As outstanding examples representing ecological processes in the evolution and development of terrestrial ecosystems (criteria ix) and (2) "Ownership of natural habitats most significant for the conservation of biodiversity"(criteria x).
 
 
Quang Binh Cave Festival has been held successfully on July 29th 2015 by Phong Nha – Ke Bang Tourism Center in Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district.
 
 
The 400 metre zip-line over the Chay River to the entrance of Dark Cave was recognized by the Vietnam Book of Records (Vietkings) as the longest zip-line route in Viet Nam on July 29th 2015.
 
 
From 16 – 19th on August 2015, the South West Development Commission of Western Australia has organized the delegation to make film in Phong Nha – Ke Bang Natioanl Park about “Sister Caves”.
 
 
On the 16th of August 2015, at the entrance of Nuoc Nut cave, Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park, Oxalis Ltd Company organized the new tourism routes “The Va and Nuoc Nut caves, different experiences”.
 
 
Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park was honoured with the title “Most attractive tangible Heritage of 2015” on September by the Mekong Tourism Alliance. The award is a part of the Mekong Tourism Alliance Awards 2015, which includes the best travel agencies, resorts, ailines, heritage center in 2015 of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand and Vietnam.
 
 
On December 29th 2015, Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism has announced top ten events in 2015, include Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park.
 
Took part in Forums of National Science, published 10 scientific thematic articles on domestic scientific magazine with ISSN and ISBN index; Have third prize in the 6th Quang Binh Technical Innovation Contest (2014 – 2015); successfully defended 02 scientific themes of provincial level./.
