Phong Nha's magnificent grottos are filled with spectacular stalagmites and stalactites and are distinctive examples of a complex karst landform. This has resulted in underground rivers and the development of a maze of caves. It’s also a fossil-rich site and a location where new caves are still being discovered. Beside Phong Nha, the list voted of 5 incredible caves are Waitomo cave (New Zealand), Indian Caverns (United States), Dan-yr-Ogof Cave (Wales), Eisriesenwelt (Austria).
Phong Nha’s grottos have been recognized as one of the world’s most beautiful wonders by British Caving Association for its distinct possession of the longest underground rivers, the highest and widest grottoes, the most beautiful sand and reefs, the most beautiful stalaclites and stalagmites, the widest drycave, the most beautiful and deepest underground lakes and the longest river cave./.My Hanh
