Visiting Phong Nha – Ke Bang National Park during Tet holiday 2018

From the Botanical Garden, follow “Road 20 – Quyet Thang”, visitors can visit Hang Tam Co at Km16 - Spiritual tourist sites. It is related to event on 14th November 1972 in the War against American Capitalist, while 8 assault youths were hiding in the cave, a huge stone collapsed to cover them.
To express deep gratitude for martyrs who devoted and sacrified for protecting the national independence, the Memorial Temple was built. U Bo Mountain Peak
U Bo mountain is the highest one which is located in the East of Phong Nha – Ke Bang region. Visitors will feel the fresh air and cool weather as in a subtropic zone. Paradise cave dubbed as “Underground palace” is one of the wonders of the magnificient and magical world most. It is located at Km16 from West Branch edge of Ho Chi Minh road about 4km of Son Trach commune, Bo Trach district, Quang Binh province, the center of Dong Hoi city about 70km to the Northwest in west branch Ho Chi Minh road and is far from Phong Nha about 25km.
Paradise cave is 31km in length, the width is over 30-100m, the largest is 150m and the height from the bottom to the ceiling is about 60m. There are also many stalactites that have accumulated over the years, forming many different shapes.
Visitors will discover and learn about the formation of stalactites systems colorful and rich in shape. There are about 22 different types of structures, including stone nuggets, stalagmites, stone curbs, stone waterfalls, rock flowers, pearls, stone bells, stone pillars, stone pipes, or glittering crystal stone...and so on.

The Drum Beating Festival of Macoong people If you have chances to visit the heritage on the fifteen of lunar January, you can not miss the Drum Beating Festival of Ma Coong people, a strange festival unfindable in other villages. This is a big festival with the identity of Ma Coong ethnic group in Thương Trạch commune, Bố Trạch district, Quảng Bình province.
All participants, regardless of elder, youth, men or women, blow the drum consecutively. The drum covers are made of skins of buffalo. The drum is hardly free of blows, making noise to overflow the forest and mountain. When the drum is broken, all rush into the forest with happy faces. Ma Coong people are proud of Drum Beating Festival and longing for welcoming tourists to their village to learn a cultural tradition under conservation and respect.
